Artist Statement

Art is a personal journey

I have learned courage by stepping out into my art.  It has taught me to take chances and to believe in myself.  When I paint is when I feel truly alive and fulfilled.

My work is about enjoying the beauty of nature and bringing it to full color.  I often express color in my art that is not seen by the naked eye, but in my mind. Nature is beautiful and I want to portray it on canvas and paper the way I interpret it in my mind.

I strive for my work to be visually interesting for the viewer in hopes that they will see a deeper into the image.
